Vintage 1960 Handcrafted Artist Plein Aire Case
This Art Case was built by my uncle in 1960 to help me pursue my oil painting passion of the great out door on sight painting,it has been very well used and has endured a lot of years of use. The right rear hinge needs to be replaced and the pictures show a chip here and there but over all it is still very sturdy and handsome in outer appearance. The enterior has used paint spillings also but does not affect the usefulness for Plien Aire painting. It weighs 6 lbs 10 oz it is 18 in tall 21 in wide and 4 3/4 in deep, I believe it is made of pine I don't remember him telling me what it was made of. He made it in his shop in Boise,Idaho.
